Job Position: Copywriter

Job Location: Lagos (Remote)

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Copy Writer that is enthusiastic, passionate about owning and delivering quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attracts customers, and boost brand awareness.
  • You should be familiar with producing online content, and have an eye for detail

Job Responsibilities

  1. Produce well researched content for publication online and print
  2. Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/brand
  3. Produce content marketing campaigns to drive leads and subscribers
  4. Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
  5. Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
  6. Complete writing projects following content requirement in terms of style and project specifications
  7. Optimize articles for SEO and accessibility
  8. Identify gaps in content and recommend new topics
  9. Edit content to ensure voice, grammar and style is on point
  10. Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
  11. Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
  12. Compose product descriptions to promote our products and services
  13. Monitor and analyse the performance of KPIs to offer suggestions for improvement
  14. Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization’s mission to inspire ideas and content
  15. Follow editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content team to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Job Requirements

  1. At least 3+ years of prior experience working in SEO
  2. Proven record of excellent writing demonstrated in a professional portfolio
  3. Impeccable grasp of the English language, and current trends in slangs and expressions
  4. Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
  5. Experience doing research using multiple sources
  6. Hands on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
  7. Understanding of search engine optimization best practices
  8. Excellent writing and editing skills.
