Job Description

  1. Fairmoney is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Relationship Manager to join our SME Banking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients, providing tailored financial solutions, and driving business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of SME needs and challenges, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to client management.

Job Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:

  1. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with SME clients.
  2. Understand client’s business operations, financial needs, and goals.
  3. Provide personalized financial advice and solutions to meet client needs.
  4. Conduct regular client meetings to review financial performance and update on new products/services.

Business Development:

  1. Deposit mobilzation in line with set targets and business plan.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the SME segment.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and grow existing relationships.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and servicing of clients.
  5. Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall profitability of the SME banking division.

Product and Service Expertise:

  1. Stay informed about Fairmoney’s products and services, as well as industry trends and developments.
  2. Present and explain banking products, such as loans, credit lines, and cash management services, to clients.
  3. Work with product teams to tailor solutions that meet specific client requirements.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  1. Assess and monitor the creditworthiness of clients.
  2. Ensure all client interactions and transactions comply with regulatory requirements and Fairmoney’s policies.
  3. Prepare and submit credit proposals and documentation for approval.
  4. Monitor and manage the risk profile of the client portfolio.

Market and Competitor Analysis:

  1. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the SME sector.
  2. Analyze competitors’ offerings and market positioning to refine strategies and value propositions.
  3. Provide feedback to management on market conditions and client needs.

Job Requirements
Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  2. MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 7 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on SME clients.
  2. Proven track record in relationship management and business development.

Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of SME banking products and services.
  2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to analyze financial statements and assess credit risk.
  4. Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.

Working Conditions:

  1. Regular travel to client locations and business meetings.
  2. Ability to work flexible hours based on client needs and business demands.
