About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and self-motivated Corporate Finance Manager to join our Corporate Finance team at Moniepoint to provide analytical and decision support to our business units and corporate entities!

This person will quickly develop a deep understanding of our business and be proficient at using data to drive insightful decision-making across the organisation.

You will work closely with product business leaders, business operations teams, and the investor relations teams in developing reporting frameworks and providing insightful analysis to support high-quality decision-making for specific business units.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Accurate and high-quality reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  2. Detailed P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis.
  3. Project management – managing internal stakeholders, presenting data-driven recommendations, and assisting with execution.
  4. Development of long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with corporate objectives and market trends.
  5. Development of new insightful reporting and shifting of FP&A focus from data analytics to actionable insights
  6. Incremental improvements and process re-design of the annual group budgeting process.
  7. Developing and enhancing the internal reporting processes.
  8. Ensure accurate and timely investor, board and stakeholder reporting
  9. Provide transaction and M&A support, including ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required
  10. Provide mentorship and guidance to the finance team, ensuring the production of high-quality management information and analysis promptly.

Requirements

  1. 8+ years of experience as Finance Manager or FP&A Manager in a multinational environment (preferably banking, financial services or tech).
  2. Good to have relevant professional qualifications (CFA, CPA, ACCA, etc.)
  3. A first principles thinker who keenly analyses information with a view to simplifying and solving complex problems.
  4. Experience building and maintaining financial models and driving business decision support
  5. Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and other analytical tools; experience with SQL will be an added advantage.
  6. Good level of business and commercial acumen.
  7. Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and relationship builder; hands-on and self-driven, not in need of high oversight and supervision, with a keen eye for detail.
  8. Proactive and goal-oriented.
  9. Experience in preparing professional reports and presentations.
  10. Project management skills
