Job Position: Designer I – Creation & Design Dairy Division

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are looking for a full time Dairy Designer I located in Lagos, Nigeria to provide Dairy Design excellence incorporating the full IFF combined portfolio of flavors and ingredients.
  2. In this position you will work with diverse and exciting projects within the Dairy Category. Working in a team environment, IFF expects you to cultivate innovation and creativity to assist our customers in enhancing their existing brand portfolios, ensuring the successful launches of their new product lines.
  3. The Designer works both independently and as team member, on all types of customers and IFF brief types. You will provide subject matter development support and work closely with the sales teams to drive creation of winning designs and flavours.
  4. You will demonstrate creativity in working with a regional team to maximize IFF technology & innovative practices.

Job Responsibilities
Solution Design:

  1. Independently manage timelines and tasks for projects.
  2. Develop finished product formulation incorporating IFF technologies and meeting industrial standards.
  3. Understands flavor and ingredient performance in a broad range of dairy finished products and production processes.
  4. Refines taste and texture language, using sensory, physical and chemical analysis improve on product development.

Innovation and New Technology:

  1. Supports local and regional marketing initiatives.
  2. Successfully demonstrates new technology in appropriate projects.

Customer Intimacy and Technical Partnership:

  1. Understands creative and Design process, cost influence, productivity performance and development constraints.
  2. Demonstrates and understanding of the market evolution and consumer preference.
  3. Works in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
  4. Present to customers and form technical partnership with customers.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  • Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Consumer Science or related disciplines.
  • Preferably Master’s Degree or bachelor’s degree as a minimum.
  • 5 years experience, which includes 2-3 years in Product development.
  • Experience in Dairy is preferred.
