Job Position: Development Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Effectively monitor and present project updates to the Investment Committee, stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
  2. Drives the development process through planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, scope, and updating schedules.
  3. Analyze potential properties to purchase, or develop, create project documents, coordinate due diligence activities, analyze the rental sub-market to determine viability.
  4. Manage and maintain development schedules to ensure timely completion of development milestones including closing.
  5. Coordinate the work of project managers and professional consultants, schedule development team meetings and review project reports.
  6. Perform an oversight function on all activities within the project phases with all project execution parties including third-party consultants.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, or Real Estate Development is preferred.
  2. Professional qualification in PMP, NIESV, or similar preferred
  3. Membership of the Association of Developers is an added advantage.
  4. Must possess minimum of 5 years of multiclass development experience.
  5. Experience managing developments under deadlines.
  6. Proven experience navigating Real Estate principles.
  7. Proficiency with Word and Excel is required; proficiency with MS Project and PowerPoint is preferred
  8. Good decision-making skills, sound judgment, and problem-solving approach
  9. Ability to take initiative and with confidence
  10. Knowledge of land use laws, and real estate development regulations
  11. Comfortable with public speaking and community presentations.
