Job Position: DevOps Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Collaborates with multiple stakeholders to design and improve the software deployment pipeline
  2. Designs, implements, and maintains automation toolsets for configuration management, infrastructure and application deployment processes
  3. Supports the creation of architectural diagrams and design specifications to aid automation
  4. Creates reusable automation libraries and APIs that can be applied across the enterprise
  5. Identifies interdependencies and productivity barriers between the development and operations functions
  6. Identifies opportunities to automate operations activities that slow the delivery process
  7. Standardizes change, validation, and deployment processes to reduce complexity.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree
  2. At least 2 years of working experience in implementation and maintenance of DevSecOps pipeline
  3. Good working experience with cloud-based technologies and architectures (AWS).
  4. Well-versed in agile ways of working and familiar with common tools including YouTrack, JIRA
  5. Experience in working in cross-functional Agile teams
  6. Experience with CI/CD practices and systems (e.g. git, git flow, trunk-based development).
  7. Experience and good knowledge of Containerization (docker etc.)
  8. Container orchestration using Kubernetes, OpenShift
  9. Scripting language (shell, ruby/jruby, perl, python, powershell etc.)
  10. Monitoring and data collection tools (nagios, splunk, and etc.)
  11. SCM tools (git, bitbucket)
  12. Build tools (ant, nant, rake, etc.)
  13. Packet management (rpm, npm and etc.)
  14. Configuration management tools (Ansible, chef, Terraform, puppet etc.)
  15. Virtualization (virtualbox, vmware, xen, kvm)
  16. Microservices architecture.
