Job Description

  • This is a full-time remote role for a well established and experienced Senior Digital Marketing & Communications Manager.
  • The Senior Digital Marketing & Communications Manager will oversee the development of visionary marketing strategy, and strategic leadership to execute on our digital marketing and communications strategies for our various e-commerce platforms, manage the company brand, drive marketing communications, and coordinate and implement strategic communications initiatives.
  • This role will provide strategic leadership to the marketing team of 5+ people, ensure efficient project management, and delivering effective collaboration across cross-functional teams including sales, operations, and R&D.
  • This role will have responsibility for delivering revenue goals by delivering on our marketing strategy.
  • They will support a virtual and international team and drive marketing efforts on our e-commerce platforms including Amazon and Walmart stores.
  • They will support partnerships sales and new business development initiatives for B2B and B2C growth.
  • The Senior Marketing Manager will report directly to the COO and be responsible for improving efficiency and accountability within the team and aligning the organization to ensure we meet and exceed quarterly and annual targets.

Objective

  • Strategy development, planning and deployment of marketing campaigns that generate revenue, traffic, engagement etc (both offline and online), owning the implementation from ideation to execution.
  • Creative drive for developing engaging and informative content for the website, blog, social media, and any other content marketing channels working with graphics designers and content creators.
  • Market research acumen, with a keen ability to understand trends, analyze competitors, develop customer persona and consumer preferences.
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships and partnerships with key players such as vendors, advertising agencies, copy writers, freelancers and creatives.
  • Ability to drive organic and paid traffic, and manage pay-per-click campaigns.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or similar with a Master’s Degree in a relevant field. Post B.Sc advanced degree (eg. MBA or MA/MSc) a must.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience identifying target audiences and creatively devising and leading cross-channel marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).
  • Experience in managing and analyzing PPC campaigns including Facebook, Google Analytics, and more.
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with manipulating numbers in Excel, making sense of metrics, processing figures and pivot tables with spreadsheets.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing including KPI’s and metrics of success.
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels especially in the consumer and packaged goods industry.
  • Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with the latest marketing trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, product illustration, packaging, messaging, branding, etc.
  • Proficiency in CRM software such as HubSpot Marketing or similar tools.
  • Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of technical on and off-site SEO
  • Experience with Brand strategy and positioning, Content Strategy.
  • Experience with directing creatives (videos and graphics) and optimizing user experience on digital platforms
  • Experience with Email marketing including automation flows, etc.
  • Experience with Social media marketing, as well as curating and managing Media, Editorial and Blog Calendars
  • Experience managing and driving strategy for PPC and paid advertising.
  • Experience working with influencer and affiliate marketing.
  • Experience with event planning and event marketing.
  • Experience creating and distributing press releases and working with media.
  • In-depth knowledge of CAC/LTV ratio – what it means and its relevance to marketing.
  • In-depth knowledge of funnel building. Must be familiar with SEO tools like SEMRush, AHRefs, Google Console, Google Adwords, and analytics.
  • In-depth knowledge of metrics like cost per click, cost per lead, conversion rate, bounce rate, ROI, Keyword Ranking, organic sessions, engagement, backlinks, and how to build off-page SEO, on-page SEO tricks, ROAS
  • Ability to formulate and present strategy for growth to top level executives and represent the company professionally
  • Ability to research, identify, and deploy ai, new apps, and tools in marketing to drive growth
  • Expertise in tracking analytics and reporting performance (Google Analytics, Excel mastery, etc)
  • Proven team leadership and project management experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and within budget.
