Job Position: Digital Manufacturing Deployment & Transformation Manager

Job Description

  1. The Digital Manufacturing Deployment & Transformation Manager will be leading and managing the implementation of digital technologies and strategies within our manufacturing sites.
  2. This role is crucial in driving digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness of our production facilities.
  3. You will be reporting to Head of Manufacturing Optimization.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Technology Assessment: Collaborate with DTPS and liaise with internal and external experts to evaluate and select appropriate digital manufacturing technologies and tools, such as IoT (Internet of Things) devices, automation systems, data analytics, and digital twins.
  2. Project & Risk Management:
    1. Leading cross-functional teams in the execution of digital manufacturing projects. This involves setting project timelines, proposing and monitoring resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
    2. Managing the budget for digital transformation initiatives, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and demonstrating the return on investment (ROI) of digital solutions.
    3. Identifying and mitigating risks associated with digital manufacturing implementation, including technical failures, data breaches, and operational disruptions.
  3. Change Management: Collaborate with plants to manage the cultural and organizational changes associated with the adoption of digital technologies. This includes training and upskilling employees, promoting a culture of innovation and monitoring adoption rates.
  4. Communication: Effectively communicating the progress and benefits of digital manufacturing initiatives to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from executives to shop floor workers.
  5. Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborating with technology vendors, suppliers, and external partners to source and integrate digital solutions effectively in full alignment also with internal partners such as DTPS and DIA.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Monitoring the performance of digital manufacturing solutions and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. This includes optimizing processes, reducing downtime, and increasing overall adoption and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Information Technology, Business).
  2. Proven experience in leading digital manufacturing deployment and transformation initiatives.
  3. In-depth knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies, including IoT and automation systems.
  4. Project management experience, including budget management and risk mitigation.
  5. Change management expertise, including training and upskilling programs.
  6. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
  7. Experience in vendor and partner management in a manufacturing context.
  8. Proven track record of driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
