Overview

Riverside Schools opened its doors in September 2009 with six pupils in the Elementary School. The College which commenced in 2017 coincidentally started with six students too. Today, the schools have grown to become household names and the first port of call for discerning parents in search of a rich academic experience for their children. The elementary school enrols children aged 3 months to 10 years (Crèche through Grade 6). Whilst the entry age for the college is 10 or 11 years. Both schools currently have a population of over three hundred pupils and students.

Our Schools are accredited by the Association of Private Educators in Nigeria (APEN) and the Ogun State Ministry of Education. We have also initiated the processes of accreditation by Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) and Council of British International Schools (COBIS). We aim to be a great place to learn, work and grow and a leader of technological impact in education. Job Description

  • The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for the business’ growth objectives as it pertains to revenue growth, sales goals and marketing campaigns.
  • The BDM will work with the Executive Leadership Team to actualize its business objectives, increase profitability and keep the business competitive.

Other key functions are to:

  1. Lead the organization-wide sales and marketing function
  2. Act as the Admissions’ Officer ensuring a seamless admission process
  3. Manage the front office.
  4. Manage client relationship and identify new frontiers for attracting new clients.
  5. Manage the brand on and off-line
  6. Manage the Alumni community
  7. Track customer satisfaction and engagement through regular surveys and feedback systems
  8. Meet with potential business partners and stakeholders to advance the organization’s business objectives
  9. Run outbound campaigns like email marketing, phone calls and flier sharing campaigns to create sales opportunities
  10. Social media management tracking engagement metrics and responding to enquires
  11. Develop and present proposals to prospective partners for projects to further business objectives
  12. Deliver excellent customer service to existing and prospective clients

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing
  • 5 – 10 years in a Business Development role
  • Self-driven and goal oriented
  • Persuasion, collaborative and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of the organizations products, position and competition to strengthen its competitive position
  • Strong customer service competencies
  • Strong proposal writing skills
  • Social media management prowess and some knowledge of tools like Canva, etc
  • Basic Video-Editing skills
  • Ability to track audience engagement metrics online
  • Vendor management
  • Strong business focus and proven experience in growing brands
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and in making presentations
  • Strong people skills
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and problem solve with parents
  • Ability to create and run adverts in publications, online, etc
