Summary
- The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (48 hours per week)
- Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Job Responsibilities
- Basic Function of the Position – Incumbent works in Motor Pool unit of the General Services Office (GSO).
- S/he schedules all transportation for post personnel and official visitors.
- Schedules work shifts, shuttles, emergency transportation and other trips to meet all transportation needs and ensure efficient operations.
- Able to instruct drivers and inspect for driver and vehicle appearances. Communicates clearly by phone, radio, in emails and in person.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of motor vehicle dispatcher or fleet management experience is required.
- Job Knowledge: Good knowledge of Nigerian traffic laws and regulations is required, as well as a thorough knowledge of Nigerian streets, traffic patterns, and commonly-visited locations.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School or High School Diploma is required.
Evaluations:
- This may be tested. Please specify in your application your level of proficiency in the language listed.
- Language: Level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English
- Skills And Abilities: A valid Nigerian driver’s license is required. Strong leadership, technical,and administrative skills. Basic keyboard skills and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications are required.
