Job Position: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Job Location: Mfamosing, Cross River

Job Description

  1. Position requires knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation engineering as applicable in cement production.
  2. Responsible to execute independently work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of techniques, procedures and criteria.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Timely execution of assign electrical and instrumentation task.
  2. Ensure availability of all electrical and instrumentation equipment for production.
  3. Execute Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Schedules with minimum supervision.
  4. Ensure Compliance with Health and Safety Procedures during task execution.
  5. Follow-up with Lead Engineer on work plan execution.
  6. Co-ordinate and supervise third party contractors

Job Requirements

  1. OND / ND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years in modern integrated cement/large scale industry in the similar field.
  3. Deep Knowledge of Hasler and Pfister Weighfeeders
  4. Hands-On experience on ABB and Siemens Variable Frequency/Speed Drives.
  5. Knowledge of Medium and Low Voltage Electric Motors and their Applications.
  6. ABB Switch-Gears.
  7. 11KV/400V Power Distribution Panels and Motor Centre.
  8. Cement Industrial Instrumentation (flow, temperature ,pressure etc) and Controls.
  9. Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision.
  10. Ability to work with people of diverse cultures and manage functions.

Technical / Functional Skills:

  1. Good written and oral communication skills.
  2. Strong computer Skills especially Excel, word, PowerPoint and email applications.
  3. Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills.
  4. Good attention to detail.
