Job Position: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

  • Perform refinery equipment electrical maintenance in line with statutory and OEM guidelines to ensure operational reliability and meet time, HSE, and cost targets.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist the lead Electrical engineer with electrical design and maintenance tasks.
  2. Install and perform diagnostic tests on electrical systems.
  3. Carry out predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems to ensure operational reliability.
  4. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform repairs.
  5. Document processes and maintain electrical service and electrical maintenance/repair records.
  6. Run diagnostic tests on all electrical systems, and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  7. Optimize efficiently all electrical systems and equipment.
  8. Monitor the availability of spare parts and replenish supplies.
  9. Develop and implement electrical maintenance plans.
  10. Ensure that each executed activity is supported with the corresponding Work Order.
  11. Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to industry regulations.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc Degree / HND in Electrical Engineering, or similar Degree with good work experience in the electrical field.
  • 3 – 7 years of electrical engineering experience in a refinery or similar operations, e.g. oil/gas, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Exhibit solid knowledge of electrical performance standards and experience in a refinery, oil/gas or similar fields.
  • Extensive knowledge in predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance and implementation of electrical systems.
