Job Position: Engineering Manager

Job Location: Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti with approximately 25% travel (within Nigeria and internationally)

Job Description

  1. Lead diagnosing of mechanical problems with tractors, farm machinery, or other equipment to determine the appropriate repairs or replacements needed
  2. Maintaining a fleet of farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and other vehicles used for farming purposes.
  3. Design structures, equipment, processes and provide timely report to management.
  4. Work in areas such as power systems and machinery design, structural and environmental engineering.
  5. Design farmhouses, barns, and other shelters.
  6. Implement technological changes using competitive and market intelligence
  7. Providing technical emergency aids
  8. Estimate cost, reliability, and ensure safety of equipment
  9. Test products thoroughly for safety issues and defects.
  10. Generate specifications for parts and control the efficiency of processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
  • 8-10 years previous experience as a lead Engineer or in a similar role in the agricultural sector with experience in Tractor and Farm Fleet maintenance
  • A high level of knowledge pertaining to the installation, use, and repair of agricultural equipment
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Possession of good interpersonal skills is a must
  •  Must have excellent coordination and organizational abilities
