Job Title: English Teacher

Job Summary

  1. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated English Teacher to join our team.
  2. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of teaching experience, a deep understanding of the British curriculum, and a strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  3. The successful candidate will be passionate about English language and literature and skilled in using technology to enhance learning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the Nigerian-British curriculum.
  2. Teach English language and literature to students at various levels, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the subject.
  3. Develop and utilize creative and effective PowerPoint presentations to support lesson delivery.
  4. Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their best.
  5. Incorporate digital tools and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
  6. Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school events.
  7. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Role Qualification

  • A Degree in English, Education, or a related field with a minimum of 2.1 CGPA.
  • IGCSE and SAT Certification
  • 2 – 5 years of teaching experience, preferably within the Nigeria-British curriculum.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to integrate technology into teaching.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
