Job Position: Entertainment Editor

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Monitoring trending entertainment stories on social media.
  2. Writing and publishing entertainment stories in line with our in-house style guide.
  3. Conducting interviews and writing special format articles i.e. feature, analysis, fact-check, etc.

Job Requirements

  1. Degree or Higher Diploma (in Journalism / Media Studies or related field will be an advantage).
  2. Considerable experience in journalism and entertainment writing.
  3. Perfect writing skills; narration and good grammar.
  4. Great editorial judgment and quality entertainment news monitoring skills.
  5. Impeccable communication and interviewing skills: both written and verbal.
  6. Must be a strategic and analytical thinker.
  7. Must be a self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn, adapt and work under minimal supervision.
  8. Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).
  9. Must be able to use social media effectively.
