Job Position: Entry-Level Accountant

Job Locations: Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Osun and Oyo

Job Description

  1. As an Accountant at Captain Cook Limited, you play a pivotal role in driving the financial health of our operations.
  2. You’ll collaborate closely with our finance team, ensuring precise financial records, compliance with regulations, and efficient processes to contribute to our business success.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
  2. Perform general accounting duties such as data entry, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records.
  3. Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  4. Coordinating daily accounting activities of the business
  5. Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  6. Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
  7. Generate concise monthly reports comparing revenue to budgets for informed decision-making.
  8. Oversee payroll preparation and administration with precision.
  9. Leverage accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.
  10. Partner with internal teams to streamline operations and enhance profitability
  11. Preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  12. Provide support for budget preparation and financial planning activities.

Job Requirements

  1. Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  4. Familiarity with accounting software is an added advantage.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. High level of integrity and professionalism.
