Job Position: Executive Assistant to the CEO
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
The Executive Assistant (EA) to the CEO is responsible for providing high-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO, ensuring seamless coordination of daily operations, communications, and executive functions.
The EA will act as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, managing schedules, confidential information, and critical business tasks to enhance executive productivity.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth executive operations.
- Manage the CEO’s calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Anticipate the CEO’s needs in advance of meetings, conferences, etc.
- Take meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Have a sense of the issues taking place in the environment and keep the CEO updated
- Handle confidential documents and communications with discretion.
- Draft, review, and edit emails, reports, and other business correspondence.
- Screen and prioritise incoming communications, ensuring urgent matters receive prompt attention.
- Conduct research and prepare reports on industry trends, competitors, and business opportunities.
- Track action items and ensure timely follow-up on key tasks.
- Maintain organised filing systems (digital and physical).
- Handle expense reports and budget tracking for the CEO’s office.
- Assist in preparing reports and proposals for property development, sales, and acquisitions.
- Oversee special projects assigned by the CEO, ensuring timely execution.
- Carry out any other task as assigned by the CEO or his designate.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in an Executive Assistant or similar role supporting senior executives.
- Knowledge of business development is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Be versatile
- Knowledge of corporate governance and business protocol.
- Male candidates preferred.
