We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a background in fintech and/or banking to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in HR, with expertise in talent management, recruitment, performance management, policy development, culture enhancement, and HRIS/HRM systems. Job Description

This is a FULL-TIME contract role for a Human Resources Generalist. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing HR policies, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent management, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve handling employee inquiries, supporting recruitment processes, managing employee records, and providing HR support to the organization. This is an on-site role located in Lagos.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead talent management initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent, including succession planning, career development, and performance coaching.
  • Oversee talent attraction, recruitment, and onboarding processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and individual development plans.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, fostering a culture of fairness, inclusivity, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Utilize HRIS/HRM systems to streamline HR processes, manage employee data, and generate insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Promote a positive organizational culture through employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and diversity and inclusion efforts.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Masters Degree is an advantage.
  • HR Certification and Designation
  • 5-6 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with expertise in talent management, recruitment, performance management, policy development, culture enhancement, and HRIS/HRM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs and drive initiatives independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources (HR) management and practices
  • Experience in designing and implementing HR policies
  • Expertise in employee benefits and benefits administration
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools
