Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Descriptions

1. We are seeking an objective and Field Auditor in Abuja (FCT) who is open to working anywhere in Nigeria to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
2. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and sound judgment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare and present reports that reflect the audit’s results and document the process.
2. Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
3. Id.entify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures
4. Maintain open communication with management and the audit committee
5. Document process and prepare the audit findings memorandum
6. Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions
7. Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
8. Keep a check on processes and regulations
9. Ensuring staff compliance with company policies and regulations.
10. Travel to different states for auditory reviews and assessment.
11. Provide a qualitative and quantitative evaluation based on empirical data findings.
12. Providing a solution to the company’s internal problems

Requirements and Skills

1. Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance or a related field.
2. Proven working experience as an Auditor in a Microfinance or Lending company
3. Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
4. Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
5. High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
6. Sound independent judgement
7. Meticulous attention to detail.
8. A strong aptitude for maths.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills.
10. A keen interest in the financial system.
11. Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure.
12. Ability to work on your initiative and as part of a team.
13. Ability to speak Hausa fluently
14. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report writing skills.
