Job Description
- We are currently seeking a highly experienced and qualified Finance/Account Manager to oversee all financial operations and accounting functions within our organization.
- The Finance/Account Manager will play a critical role in managing financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and profitability.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts, and present financial performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning initiatives, working closely with department heads and senior management to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and other external stakeholders, and ensure timely and accurate compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams, procurement, and accounting staff to track project costs, revenue recognition, and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Lead financial risk management activities, including assessment of credit risk, foreign exchange exposure, and hedging strategies, to mitigate financial risks and optimize financial performance.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management on investment decisions, capital allocation, and business expansion initiatives.
- Mentor and develop finance and accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and high performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Extensive knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven track record of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with a focus on driving business performance and profitability.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, spreadsheet analysis, and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and departments, with a customer-centric approach to financial management and decision-making.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to think analytically, anticipate future trends, and develop innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial governance and compliance.
