Job Position: Finance Accounting Intern

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • As a Finance Accounting Intern, you will work closely with our finance team to support financial operations and gain practical knowledge in the field of finance.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assisting in the accurate recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  2. Perform regular reviews of transaction sheets, operational data, and conduct checks to ensure data quality.
  3. Maintaining organized financial records, documents, and reports.
  4. Assist the team in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements.
  5. Liaise with field office staff, including the review of cash requests and reconciliation of field office expenditures.
  6. Recording and filing cash transactions.
  7. Processing expense requests for the Accountant to approve.
  8. Compilation of source data essential for posting all transactions on QuickBooks.
  9. Provide additional administrative or other support as requested.

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
  2. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  3. Good organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  4. Good mathematical and numerical skills
  5. Leadership and analytical skills
  6. Good command of the English language and Google Office tools.
