Job Position: Finance Associate

Job Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Job Description

  • As a Finance Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company.
  • This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who can manage financial processes, assist with budgeting, and ensure the accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • The Finance Associate will work closely with the sales and logistics teams to manage costs and optimize financial performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate and analyze sales reports, including revenue from alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink sales, and provide insights on profitability.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, sales receipts, and payment gateways.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions, including website orders and refunds, are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
  • Assist in pricing analysis to maintain competitive pricing while maximizing profit margins.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations, including VAT and excise duties on alcoholic beverages.
  • Oversee customer invoicing and collections, ensuring timely payment and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Monitor daily cash flows, ensuring that the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational needs.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, tax regulations, and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the beverage industry or familiarity with alcoholic beverage taxation is a plus.

  • Salary: N200,000 Monthly.
  • 13th month salary
  • HMO.
