Job Position: Finance Manager
Location: Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the effective running of the day-to-day activities of the Accounts/Finance department
  2. Managing and overseeing the company’s financial systems
  3. Managing the financial reporting for the organisation. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and all statutory financial reporting
  4. Ensure that financial reports comply with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  5. Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the organisation to make critical business decisions
  6. Review and monitoring of operational expenses
  7. Presentation of financial results and insights
  8. Handling tax matters, tax planning and other regulatory compliance
  9. Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organisation is compliant with accounting standards
  10. Managing and overseeing the company’s banking and borrowing arrangements
  11. Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions
  12. Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs
  13. Managing and tracking the budget and performance review
  14. Reviewing all formal finance policies and procedures
  15. Manage relationships with regulatory and statutory bodies, i.e. LIRS, FIRS, etc.
  16. Keeping abreast of new developments in reporting, tax and other regulatory requirements to ensure compliance

Qualifications and Key Requirements

  1. BSC/HND in Accounting or a business-related field. A professional qualification (ACA/ACCA) will be of added advantage
  2. Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience
  3. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, etc.
  4. Experience in the  power/energy/oil and gas industry is essential
  5. Good knowledge of treasury functions, forex management, and letters of credit is required
  6. Must be conversant with domestic and international accounting reporting requirements
  7. Must be conversant with relevant tax law and principles
  8. Ability to work independently without supervision
  9. Passionate about work and willing to learn

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: N700,000 – N1,000,000 Monthly, depending on relevant industry experience.
