Job Position: Finance Manager
Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepare Monthly/Quarterly Financials and Management Reports.
  2. Manage the Annual Audit Cycle to ensure the timely delivery of annual financial statements (separate and consolidated).
  3. Develop, implement and Monitor Appropriate Financial Systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance Unit.
  4. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  5. Oversee Monthly and Annual Tax Returns and Filing (WHT, CGT, CIT and EDT).
  6. Periodically review the organisation’s financial reports and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  7. Reporting to management and stakeholders. Also, providing advice on how the company and future business decisions might be impacted.
  8. Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets.
  9. Support project analysis, validation of plans and ad-hoc requests.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a Finance/Accounting, Economics or Social Science discipline.
  2. Minimum 6-8 years relevant work experience within a similar role.
  3. Professional Accounting Certification (ACCA) is compulsory.
  4. A master’s degree/MBA will be an added advantage.
  5. Good understanding and application of International Financial Reporting Standards.

Skills & Competencies:

  1. Up-to-date knowledge of Key financial reporting standards.
  2. Comprehensive Knowledge and Application of Nigerian Tax Laws.
  3. Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  4. Strong financial planning, organisational, and analytical skills.
  5. Communication and Interpersonal Relations
  6. Excellent Managerial Skill
  7. Problem Solving and Decision Making
  8. A keen eye for detail and a desire to probe further into data
  9. Ability to stick to time constraints
  10. Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with external parties.
