Job Position: Finance Officer
Location: Maryland, Lagos

Job Summary

  1. We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our vibrant team at Pulse Nigeria.
  2. In this role, you will be at the heart of our financial operations managing invoices, payments, reconciliations and reporting while working closely with sales and other departments to drive accuracy, compliance and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Generating, booking and clearing of invoices accurately for customers using the ERP
  2. Ensure timely and accurate booking and realisation of revenues
  3. Daily posting of transactions into the GL
  4. Support the management of accounts receivable
  5. Handling supplier payments and management of accounts payable
  6. Reconciliation of client account statements, working closely with the Sales department
  7. Handling tax reconciliation, payment and filing
  8. Ensure the correct recording of COGS from all Ad Managers and realise corresponding revenue in real time
  9. Compute monthly commissions, variable salaries and bonuses for the Sales department and other Executives
  10. Ensures all invoices, purchase orders, tax certificates, contracts, and other relevant documentation are compliant according to local tax regulations and uploaded/referenced in the ERP and Finance Google Drive
  11. Support with the month closing, ensuring the Finance department deadlines are met
  12. Support with sales, finance and business intelligence analysis and reporting
  13. Work with the Sales and other departments to ensure compliance with business processes
  14. Support in all efforts for timely funds recovery and to minimise bad debt risk
  15. Ensure a high level of accuracy, regulatory compliance, initiative and timeliness in performing all tasks
  16. Actively identify and propose improved processes that can have a positive impact and help to achieve business goals
  17. Stay up to date with relevant regulatory guidelines and industry best practices and ensure utmost compliance.
  18. Support the Sales and Finance department in all activities that can help the company meet revenue and profit targets
  19. Maintain strong, trusting relationships with all internal collaborators and external stakeholders
  20. Perform other duties as may be assigned by your team lead
  21. Ensure all activities align with the company’s Code of Conduct.

Requirements

  1. Must be a graduate of Accounting (B.Sc./HND).
  2. 2 – 3 years’ proven experience in accounting operations, preferably within a structured organisation.
  3. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or any ERP system).
  4. Must possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  5. Strong understanding of financial reporting and general ledger management.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams.
  9. Professional certification or progress towards one (ICAN, ACCA) will be an added advantage.
