Job Position: Financial Accountant

Job Location: Abuja

Job Description

  1. Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
  3. Forecast costs and revenues
  4. Manage tax payments
  5. Organize internal audits
  6. Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
  7. Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
  8. Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
  9. Analyze financial trends
  10. Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Job Requirements

  1. BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
  2. Proven 2 years of work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
  3. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks)
  4. In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
  5. Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
  6. Excellent math skills with attention to detail
  7. Time-management abilities
  8. Confidentiality
  9. Additional certification (e.g. CPA, ICAN) is a plus
