Job Position: Specialist, Financial Accounting

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

  1. Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
  2. Using documents to verify, record, and process transactions.
  3. Manage Payments, post revenue accounting & payables entries, post payment entries.
  4. Assist in daily, monthly, and annual activities, preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
  5. Speaking with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner.
  6. Communicating with clients to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies.
  7. Maintain accounts by recording, identifying and verifying financial transactions
  8. Follow internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security is maintained.
  9. Record financial information and provide summaries when necessary
  10. Process and organize invoices to ensure bills are paid and received in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

  1. Graduate of Finance / Accounting or a related field
  2. ICAN/ACCA qualified (or in the final stage)
  3. Minimum of 2 years experience in finance/accounting

Must have skills:

  1. Microsoft Excel Accounting
  2. Analytical
  3. Attention to details
  4. Good to have skills
  5. IFRS understanding.
