Job Position: Financial Analyst

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are looking to hire a talent with proven record in revenue and expenditure forecasting.
  2. The ideal candidate will have the ability to research and analyze financial data and advise management on the company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity, while managing long and short term yield investments.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking.
  2. Analyze current and previous financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  3. Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecast, variances and trends.
  4. Advise management on the Company’s financial performance and recommend long and short term investment as may be required.
  5. Source and recommend external funding for business expansion.
  6. Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  7. Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning process.
  8. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  9. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  10. Maintain up-to-do technical knowledge of financial instruments, market condition, and trends.
  11. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  12. Perform market research, data mining and business intelligence to aid correct and informed business decisions.

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc. or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics.
  2. M.Sc/MBA in Finance is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business finance or related field; Experience MUST be in Financial Analyst role.
  4. Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, MS Excel, Power BI and financial software applications.
  5. Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages.
  6. Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
  7. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
  8. Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, and treasury management.

Professional Certification:

  • CFA.
  • ACCA/ACA.
