Job Position: NI – Fraud Analyst

Job Location: Nigeria

Job Responsibilities 

  1. Identify and analyze potential fraudulent transactions to avoid fraud loss and chargebacks
  2. Track and report fraud trends, chargeback trends in the market and propose solutions to fight them
  3. Manage credit card chargeback process for Visa and Mastercard transactions
  4. Do KYC documents verification for Jumia Pay customers
  5. Work closely with the customer service team on risk related topics like – transaction or account blocked, KYC etc.
  6. Work closely with finance team on fraud refunds, chargeback etc.
  7. Adequately follow and enforce all operational process like KYC, ATO, Chargeback, Dispute management etc.
  8. Update necessary schedules for the risk team.
  9. Work on other topics assigned by your manager.

Job Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or similar.
  2. Good understanding of the payment system.

Competencies Required:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power- point) tools.
  2. Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.
  3. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. Ability to work to deadlines and targets, can prioritize tasks under pressure.
  5. Autonomous and comfortable interacting with other departments
  6. Attention to detail.
  7. Ability to analyze data and identify trends and patterns.
  8. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Ownership mentality and a personal growth drive.
