Job Position: Front Desk Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  1. Greet people entering the building, answering any questions, providing directions and alerting staff when someone is there to meet or visit them.
  2. Answer a multiple line phone system, manage calls by routing them to the proper extensions or taking messages and delivering them within our message system along with setting up conference calls as requested.
  3. Manage the building log of who is entering and exiting the building.
  4. Accept deliveries and mail, organize them to be distributed to the correct recipients using the office mailing system and ensure they get to the recipient in a timely manner while also managing outgoing mail and packages for pickup.
  5. Serve as the face of the company, offering friendly service to those entering the building or calling in on the phone.
  6. Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and free of clutter.
  7. Assist new applicants who come into the building to apply for positions, including providing them with applications, pens and clipboards along with any reference material they may need, such as telephone directories or Wi-Fi passwords.
  8. Handle filing and data entry as requested.
  9. Monitors lobby and work area determining customer flow
  10. Respond to customers inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  11. Facilitate correspondence with customers.
  12. Works collaboratively with other staff, managers, and resources

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any related field.
  • 0 – 3 years work experience.
  • Proven working experience as a front desk office operations or any related role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
  • Attention to details and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Should be proficient in English Language (Oral and Written)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong communication and people skill
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Social media savvy.
