Job Position: Front End Engineer – Vue.js

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

1. We are looking for a driven, passionate, and committed individual to join the team as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond.
2. As a Front End Engineer, you will manage and seamlessly blend front-end and back-end web development.
3. You will also be responsible for implementing visual and interactive elements that users engage with through their web browser when using our products and the translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.

What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be

1. Develop new user-facing features
2. Create innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the application more visually appealing and enhance the usability.
3. Ensure quick updates on our products to make them effective.
4. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
5. Ensure troubleshooting and fixing issues on a product’s Front End.
6. Produce application architecture design translated from high-level product/user requirements.
7. Design, develop and deliver code that can support new product features/enhancements in an agile environment.
8. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
9. Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
10. Develop a plan, process, and timeline for development projects.
11. Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites.
12. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
13. Collaborate cross-functionally with users, project managers, product managers, and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions
14. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
15. Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
16. Attend developer events .
17. Contribute towards the team, department, and company goals.

Job Requirements
Required competency and skillset to be a Waver:

1. Proven work experience in Software Engineering.
2. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the organization’s product and service offerings.
3. In-depth understanding of VueJs, HTML and SASS CSS.
4. Understanding of microservice architecture.
5. Knowledge of writing unit tests.
6. Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery.
7. Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies.
8. Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
11. Attitude to work.
12. Ability to grasp project requirements quickly.
