Our primary goal is to be the “go to” Quality Assurance & Software Testing company in East and West Africa while developing offshore resources to fill test automation positions (and other hard-to-find software testing capabilities) in the North American and European markets.

Job Position: Frontend Developer (Angular / React)
Location: Lagos

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Frontend Developer (Angular/React) to join our innovative technology team; a fast-growing microfinance institution committed to driving financial inclusion through digital banking solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for crafting clean, responsive, and user-friendly web applications.

You’ll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver engaging user experiences that align with business goals.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and responsive web applications using Angular and/or React frameworks.
  2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to translate business requirements into functional UI components.
  3. Optimise web applications for maximum performance and scalability.
  4. Implement best practices in code quality, structure, and maintainability.
  5. Work with RESTful APIs and integrate frontend logic with backend services.
  6. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness on all supported devices.
  7. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  9. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, UI/UX trends, and frontend best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development using Angular (Angular 8+) and/or React.js.
  3. Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
  4. Experience with state management libraries (Redux, NgRx, or similar).
  5. Good understanding of RESTful APIs and frontend-backend integration.
  6. Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
  7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools is an added advantage.
  8. Understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility best practices.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience in financial technology (Fintech) or microfinance systems.
  2. Familiarity with responsive design frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS).
  3. Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, or Cypress.
  4. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
