Job Position: Full-stack Developer – Laravel

Job Description

  • We’re in need of a motivated mid-level Laravel developer to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications.
  2. Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) team
  3. Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
  4. Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
  5. Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
  6. Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
  7. Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues
  8. Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
  9. Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager
  10. Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
  11. Familiarity with version control (git).

Job Requirements

  1. Previous working experience as a PHP / Laravel developer for a minimum of 2 years
  2. B.Sc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field
  3. In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 7.x + PHP Framework
  4. Hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design
  5. Software testing (PHPUnit)
  6. MySQL profiling and query optimization
  7. Creative and efficient problem solver
  8. Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  9. Experience with Livewire
  10. Experience with TailwindCSS
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  12. Attention to details.

Pay and Benefits

  • We’re a small dynamic team, so we allow for flexibility, to a reasonable extent.
  • This is a full time remote position, 9am – 5pm daily (40 hours per week).
  • The take home per annum for this position is between N960,000 – N1,444,000 depending on experience.
