Job Position: Full Stack Engineer (Front End + DB Experience)

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

  1. We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer who is proficient in modern front-end technologies and frameworks as well as back end database experience.
  2. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user experience, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating seamless and engaging user interfaces and workflows.
  3. You will be working closely with our product and design teams to build and enhance our sales talent web app.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain the architecture of our sales talent web app.
  2. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to implement new features and improve existing ones.
  3. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  4. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  5. Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code including documentation
  6. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven work experience as a Full stack developer or similar role.
  3. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g.,node.js, React, Angular, Vue.js).
  4. Experience with databases e.g mongo DB
  5. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  6. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services.
  7. Strong and clear written and spoken communication skills
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  9. Excellent teamwork and delivery skills.
  10. Success consistently managing 3 or more AWS services over a 1 year + period
  11. Successful understanding and implementation of Agile methodologies in real world/work scenarios.
  12. Experience building, maintaining and deploying web and server side applications
  13. Demonstrate Significant contribution to two or more successful tech team(s) and/or project(s)
  14. An ability to set up, modify or extend CI/CD pipelines with one or more CI providers
  15. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  16. Collaboration on one or more open source projects
  17. Experience building, maintaining and deploying mobile applications on either or both of iOS & Android platforms
  18. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner at any level

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with TypeScript.
  2. Knowledge of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS or LESS.
  3. Familiarity with build tools and task runners (e.g., Webpack, Gulp).
  4. Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
  5. Understanding of SEO principles.
  6. Prior experience working in a startup environment.
