Job Description
- We seek the services of skilled and experienced General Manager to take charge of the business unit and ensure key delivarables are acheived daily monthly and yearly
Job Responsibilities
- Overall management of the business with quarterly reports to the Management Team on performance, financial budgets, business goals and strategic planning;
- Responsible to drive production projects through to successful completion, utilizing your expert knowledge of production, staging event management and tools and acquired experience of technology solutions within the media industry.
- Responsible for the sales and new client acquisition of the business and driving profitable revenue generion metrics for operators partners and our brands and clients.
- Drive new business development opportunities, while nurturing and growing the network of contacts within the industry to generate business leads. Build and foster relationships with the key stakeholder, Identify client needs and ensure profitable solution-based selling to increase revenue and create value added client relationships.
- Effectively manage the relationships with all clients and mitigate risks to the company; become involved in resolution of any issues that may have an adverse effect on downtime or client relationships, while at all times ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as policies and procedures;
- Recruit, select and develop a well-motivated and skilled team capable of meeting the strategic demands of the business and market to ensure long term profitability. Manage performances of staff by motivating, training, coaching, and mentoring. Create a culture for success and performance;
- Monitor the market developments and implement operational enhancements to improve market competitiveness by establishing and maintaining service differentiation in a competitive environment;
- Oversee production from end to end ensuring that all details and set parameters are achieved
Job Requirements
- University Degree(s) in related disciplines (Marketing / Sales, Engineering, Business Administration, etc.);
- Proven experience in production and media industry, in a senior leadership role, working with operators or digital media companies, and being involved with strategy, managing Stage, Light sound projects, digital transformation projects, etc;
- Strong ties with media agencies and/or event managers operators in the region are a prerequisite.
- The role requires:
- Clear orientation to drive sales growth and sign up new clients
- Solid negotiating and closing skills;
- Manage a production crew and workforce
- Creative and innovative mindset, able to build commercial growth plans, strategize and drive business development activities that lead to growth;
- Managing production from end to end
- Structured thinking and organizational mindset. Able to anticipate client needs, foresee potential obstacles and act upon them on-time;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to motivate and successfully lead teams through tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects;
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and ability to travel
- Must have worked in the production company before
- Must be based in Abuja or willing to relocate at your own cost within the two week timeframe
- Must be absolutely above 40 years of age
- Must absolutely be technically knowledgeable in sound stage light productions
- Must be Available to resume immediately
Salary
N200,000 – N280,000 / Month.
