Sansa Home Waters, a water processing plant in Kuje, Abuja, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: General Manager
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

The General Manager oversees the entire operations of the plant, providing strategic leadership, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing the financial and operational performance of the company.

The GM serves as the primary liaison to the board/investors and ensures organisational alignment with short and long-term goals.

Job Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership:

  1. Develop and implement operational strategies for efficient plant performance.
  2. Oversee daily operations, including production planning, bottling, packaging, and distribution.
  3. Monitor and manage plant budgets, cost control, and profitability.
  4. Present periodic performance reports to the board/investors.

Production & Quality Assurance:

  1. Ensure water production meets regulatory requirements (e.g., NAFDAC, SON standards).
  2. Maintain high hygiene and safety standards across the plant.
  3. Implement continuous improvement initiatives in production processes.

Regulatory Compliance:

  1. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Maintain licenses, certifications, and permits required for operations.
  3. Staff Management:
  4. Recruit, train, and supervise plant staff across production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
  5. Set performance targets, monitor progress, and conduct staff appraisals.
  6. Foster a safe and positive work environment.

Maintenance & Asset Management:

  1. Ensure timely maintenance of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
  2. Oversee procurement of raw materials, packaging, and spare parts.

Business Growth & Customer Service:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and corporate clients.
  2. Identify new market opportunities and lead expansion initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Achievement of monthly and annual production targets.
  2. Compliance rate with NAFDAC/SON standards. (zero infractions)
  3. Reduction in production downtime.
  4. Cost efficiency and profit margins.
  5. Staff productivity and turnover rates.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing/production.
  3. Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, bottling operations, and FMCG distribution.
  4. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  5. Proximity to the plant’s location is highly encouraged.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.

Salary
N200,000 – N220,000 Monthly.
