Job Position: General Manager

Job Description

We are looking to engage a highly experienced General Manager, Investments, to lead the management and strategic direction of its investment portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and executing investment strategies aimed at maximising returns while effectively managing risk. This includes conducting thorough market research, identifying viable investment opportunities, and ensuring all investment activities align with the organisation’s overall financial objectives.

The role also entails providing leadership to the investment team, offering strategic guidance, and delivering regular performance reports and insights to senior management to support informed decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop Investment Strategies: Formulate and implement strategies to optimise returns and minimise risks across the investment portfolio.
  2. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging investment opportunities and trends.
  3. Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of the organisation’s investment portfolio, ensuring diversification and performance monitoring.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead and manage the investment team, providing direction, training, and support to achieve objectives.
  5. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance, market conditions, and strategy outcomes for senior management and stakeholders.
  6. Risk Management: Ensure effective risk management practices are in place to safeguard investments.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and alignment with organisational goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./HND) in Engineering
  2. Minimum of 7 years working experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in the operations /Maintenance Department
  3. HSE Certification is an added advantage.

Salary
N1,000,000 Monthly.
