Job Position: Go Software Engineer, Commercial Systems

Job Location: Lagos (Remote)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Code in Go or Python
  2. Collaborate with colleagues on technical designs
  3. Stay in sync with team mates
  4. Deploy and operate services developed by the team
  5. Improve engineering and operations practices

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related Engineering field
  2. Experience as a software developer in a high-level language – preferably Go or Python
  3. Experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  5. Ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse set of team members and stakeholders, remain highly motivated, productive, and organized in a fully remote environment
  6. Ability to travel to international destinations for one week at a time, approximately 2-4 times per year. Locations prior to the global pandemic included New York, Seattle, London, Cape Town, Budapest, Berlin, Montreal, and Brussels

Additional Skills that you Might also Bring

  1. Experience developing and deploying for Ubuntu Linux in public clouds
  2. Experience integrating authentication & authorization, financial, public cloud or marketplace systems
  3. Experience with Salesforce development/integration or APEX
