Job Position: Graphics Design Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Role / Objectives

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Design Officer to join our team in Abuja.

The ideal candidate will bring ideas to life across both digital and print platforms, ensuring strong visual consistency and alignment with the company’s brand identity.

This role will involve collaborating with internal departments on design needs, producing engaging materials for a variety of media, and overseeing print production to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work with departments, brief and advise about proposal style, format, print production and timescales
  2. Prepare rough drafts of material based on the agreed brief
  3. Prepare and review the final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art, and suggesting improvements if required
  4. Liaising with external printers regularly to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality
  5. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
  6. Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.

Requirements

  1. B.Sc. in Communications, Graphic Arts or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in graphic design, preferably in advertising or promotional design.
  3. Proficient in CorelDraw, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  4. Solid understanding of design, layout, typography, and colour theory.
  5. Strong creativity, attention to detail, and visual storytelling skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  7. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  8. Knowledge of Web animation or motion graphics is an added advantage.
