Job Position: Growth Lead
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Overview

The Growth Lead will be responsible for driving organisational revenue, expanding market presence, and overseeing the company’s branding, communications, marketing, business development, and strategic relations.

You will lead the Growth Department and be directly accountable for monetising platforms, securing strategic partnerships, and ensuring alignment between commercial performance and brand positioning.

Job Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Business Development:

  1. Lead revenue growth across all W2A product lines, including investment forums, trade facilitation services, sponsorships, and strategic advisory.
  2. Drive lead generation, client conversion, and upselling strategies across the company’s offerings.
  3. Develop and manage strategic partnerships with corporations, institutions, DFIs, and government stakeholders.

Marketing, Branding & Communications:

  1. Oversee all communication outputs—visual, digital, and editorial:
  2. Manage the W2A brand, ensuring a consistent and compelling message across all platforms.
  3. Supervise campaign planning, social media, PR, and media partnerships.

Stakeholder & Government Engagement:

  1. Lead diplomatic, trade, and government relations with foreign missions, embassies, export councils, and ministries.
  2. Represent W2A at high-level meetings and promote cross-border collaborations.

Team Leadership & Execution:

  1. Lead and coordinate the Growth Team (including content creators, branding officers, communications analysts, legal/government affairs personnel).
  2. Set KPIs and performance targets; monitor output, campaigns, and partner engagement.

Cross-Functional Alignment:

  1. Work closely with Finance & Strategy, Investment Facilitation, Programs & Events, and W2A Capital/Trade units to ensure synergy.
  2. Contribute to high-level decision-making and act as part of the senior leadership team.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Quarterly revenue targets met or exceeded
  2. Number of sponsors, partners, or investors secured
  3. Visibility metrics (media coverage, web traffic, brand engagement)
  4. Team performance and cross-departmental collaboration
  5. Lead conversion and stakeholder retention. Remuneration: Competitive, performance-based compensation, with room for growth as the organisation scales globally.

Qualifications

  1. 7–10 years in business development, marketing, or strategy—preferably in investment promotion, trade, consulting, or international development.
  2. Proven track record of revenue generation, brand leadership, and partnership management.
  3. Strong communication skills with a flair for storytelling, negotiation, and thought leadership.
  4. Demonstrated experience working with governments, foreign stakeholders, or multilaterals.
  5. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build while executing, work under pressure, and adapt rapidly.
  6. Passion for Africa’s development, and belief in W2A’s mission.
