Job Description

  1. We are seeking an experienced Head of Credit to lead our credit department and manage our company’s lending operations.
  2. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of credit risk management and will be responsible for credit disbursement, ensuring 0% default, developing and implementing credit policies, procedures, and strategies that align with the company’s overall goals.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the credit department and manage the lending operations of the company.
  2. Disburse credit and ensure 0% default rate.
  3. Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure effective credit risk management.
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
  5. Analyze credit applications and creditworthiness of clients to determine appropriate lending decisions.
  6. Monitor credit performance and adjust credit policies and strategies as needed.
  7. Manage a team of credit analysts and loan officers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  8. Develop and deliver credit reports and presentations to senior management and the board of directors.
  9. Work closely with other departments within the company to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in credit regulations and make recommendations to senior management as needed.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of banking experience in credit risk management, with a proven track record of success.
  3. Strong knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and strategies.
  4. Experience managing a team of credit analysts and loan officers.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  8. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  9. Experience with credit risk management software and tools.
