Job Description

The Head of Finance will oversee the financial health and integrity of the organisation. This role is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, analysis, compliance, reporting, and risk management, ensuring sound decision-making and long-term sustainability. This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a seasoned finance professional with strategic depth, team leadership experience, and a strong understanding of high-growth business environments.

Job Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Strategy:

  1. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  2. Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to leadership
  3. Align financial goals with business growth and expansion plans.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  1. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS/GAAP
  2. Maintain full compliance with statutory regulations and internal controls
  3. Manage external audits and relationships with financial institutions.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

  1. Oversee liquidity, cash flow, treasury, and capital structure
  2. Manage banking relationships and financial operations.

Internal Controls & Risk Management:

  1. Strengthen financial controls and risk mitigation strategies
  2. Promote financial integrity and ensure business continuity.

Team Leadership:

  1. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team
  2. Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder & Investor Relations:

  1. Deliver financial insights to board members and investors
  2. Support fundraising and investor due diligence.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  2. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CFA) is highly preferred
  3. MBA or Master’s degree in Finance/Business (an advantage)
  4. 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with experience in senior leadership
  5. Proven experience in high-growth organisations
  6. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
