Job Position: Head of Operations, Merchant Lending
Location: Lagos

Job Summary

This role involves leading and optimising the company’s operational strategies, ensuring efficient and compliant processes, and managing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchant lending operations, process optimisation, and risk management, with experience in merchant loan processing, team leadership, and business operations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee end-to-end merchant loan operations, from application to disbursement and repayment.
  2. Develop and refine operational workflows for speed and accuracy.
  3. Monitor loan performance and flag risk or irregularities.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Risk, Tech) to ensure process alignment.
  5. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  6. Lead and develop a small team, driving high performance and accountability.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 8 years’ experience, specifically managing large-ticket merchant loans (billions of Naira).
  2. Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial modelling, and loan structuring.
  3. Excellent understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and lending standards.
  4. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Salary
N1,500,000 – N2,500,000 monthly.
