Job Position: Head of Sales / Marketing

Job Description

  1. The Capital Market Head of Sales and Marketing plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and market presence of Africa Prudential in the capital markets sector.
  2. This position requires a dynamic and strategic leader with a deep understanding of financial markets, a proven track record in sales, and expertise in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies.
  3. The Head of Sales and Marketing will lead a team, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to achieve revenue targets, enhance brand visibility, and foster strong client relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement the overall sales strategy for capital market products and services.
  2. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and revenue goals
  3. Sell capital market products to local and/or national accounts through sales calls and sales presentations to both existing and prospective customers. This includes interacting directly with the customer, determining the customer needs, and evaluating sales potential.
  4. Establishes, maintains, and coordinates an effective partnership with the client.
  5. Identify new business opportunities and establish strategic partnerships to expand the client base.
  6. Develop quotes, product and service bids, and makes value-added sales proposals to existing customers, as well as to potential customers.
  7. Attends Capital Market events and positions Africa Prudential as a trusted brand within the Industry.
  8. Acts as a liaison between the customer and the company to resolve issues and close sales.
  9. Client Engagement and Relationship Management
  10. Ensures the organizations sales targets are met and maintains a client base by selling services and/or products to both existing and potential customers.
  11. Evaluates customer needs, and identifies the proper resources to accomplish the goal.
  12. Responsible for growing sales revenues and targeted markets for both product and service.
  13. Manage entire selling process from forecasting to actual product delivery and payment collection for all the key accounts
  14. Lead the design, development and implementation of the company’s sales plan.
  15. Maintain close relationship and communication with existing key accounts to understand their needs regarding technical, financial, logistic and marketing support, and organize internal resources to meet those needs and identify new business opportunities.
  16. Responsible for closing sales and utilizing cross-functional assistance as needed, i.e., Consulting, Marketing and Proposal Services, etc.
  17. Drive all forms of marketing to accelerate sales, for example, interactive marketing, direct marketing campaigns, advertising, sales collateral, press releases, and executive presentations.
  18. Ensure all branding programs are aligned with the overall objectives of the organization and that they are optimized and relevant to multiple audiences.
  19. Work closely with other departments in formulation and delivery of both the offline and online marketing elements/strategies. These elements are inclusive but not limited to brand design, partnership marketing, content, public relations, and advertising.
  20. Ensure completion of market analysis and monitors the competitive activity in the market as well as conducting gap analyses and financial modeling, which avail the organization of a competitive advantage and facilitate the realization of new brand marketing opportunities

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc. in any related field and an MBA.
  2. Minimum of 10 years experience in at least 3 of the following sectors/roles:
  3. Capital Market or Financial Services, Sales and Business Development, Fintech Sales, IT Platform Sales or Technology Sales.
