Job Position: Head of Sales

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Leading our sales efforts, driving revenue growth, and effectively managing the sales team
  2. Revenue Generation: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize sales opportunities. Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth through effective lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
  3. Sales Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with company objectives. Set clear sales targets, motivate team members, and monitor their performance. Mentor and train sales staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  4. Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and refine sales strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market plans. Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to continuously refine sales strategies and tactics.
  5. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners. Understand their business objectives, anticipate their needs, and provide tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and track sales performance against targets. Prepare regular sales reports, metrics, and analysis to provide insights into sales trends, market conditions, and areas for improvement.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and optimize customer experiences. Provide input on product development and marketing initiatives based on customer feedback and market insights.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  2. Experience in the industry or market segment related to our products/services is a plus.
  3. Proven track record of success in achieving revenue targets and leading high-performing sales teams.
  4. Strong understanding of sales principles, strategies, and techniques, with experience in B2B sales.
  5. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans aligned with organizational goals.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in sales forecasting and data analysis.
