9mobile is a Nigerian private limited liability company. EMTS acquired a Unified Access Service License from the Nigerian Communications Commission in 2007. The License enables EMTS provide Fixed Telephony (wired or wireless), Digital Mobile Services, International Gateway Services and National/Regional Long Distance Services in addition to spectrum assignments in the 900 and 1800 MHz bands.

Job Position: Head, Regional Sales
Location: Abuja

Job Summary

  1. Plan, direct and coordinate regional sales activities, ensuring consistent and qualitative service delivery to meet EMTS customers’ needs.

Roles Responsibilities
Tactical:

  1. Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve business objectives and sales targets.
  2. Lead, mentor and manage a team of sales professionals ensuring they are motivated and equipped to meet their goals.
  3. Maintain awareness of market trends, customer needs and competitor initiatives and devise strategies to optimally utilise market opportunities.
  4. Define and implement specific operational plans and programs to facilitate the realisation of the region’s sales targets.
  5. Identify and recommend strategies for optimising partner performance and increasing profitability.
  6. Identify required resources, personnel, and funding to achieve the regional sales strategy.
  7. Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Operational:

  1. Proactively identify and advise management on potential revenue streams and customer needs in order to maximize revenue for the organization.
  2. Recommend frameworks for measuring partner profitability and offer recommendations on viable and non-viable channels.
  3. Coordinate sales activities at the regions, while ensuring qualitative service delivery and compliance with standard policies and procedures.
  4. Ensure ongoing identification and reporting of new prime locations for acquisition and development of retail infrastructure and offer recommendations to the VP, Sales and Distribution – North.
  5. Ensure operational efficiency and proper cost management in regional activities to maximise profitability.
  6. Provide input on the region’s financial requirements during the budgeting process and monitor the approved budget to ensure prudent utilization of resources.
  7. Review and authorise expenditures/transactions of the region in line with the approved budget and manual of authority.
  8. Implement the Regional Sales division’s work programs and plans in line with agreed-upon procedures and guidelines.
  9. Plan and manage the human and material resources of the Regional Sales division to optimise performance, morale and enhance productivity.
  10. Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various divisions within the sales department.
  11. Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.
  12. Monitor and control the budgetary needs of the Regional Sales unit.
  13. Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and sales performance reports for the attention of the VP, Sales and Distribution – North
  14.  Perform any other duties as assigned by the VP, Sales and Distribution – North.

Education and Experience

  1. First Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  2. A postgraduate/professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
  3. Minimum of nine (9) years work experience, with at least three (3) years in a managerial role.
