Job Position: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Assistant
Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Purpose
To assist the Safety Health Environment (SHE) Manager in the implementation of global best practices in safety, health and environment programmes or activities.
The Job
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and escalate any potential risks related to accidents, fire outbreaks, or hazards, ensuring timely response and preventive measures.
- Ensure that all environmental and safety equipment is in proper working condition; maintain accurate inventory and status reports as required.
- Supervise the disposal of solid and general waste to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Monitor factory operations to enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and address any deviations.
- Educate and counsel employees on the importance of maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
Qualifications
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Have Excellent risk assessment and hazard identification skills.
Requirements
- OND in Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related science disciplines.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
