Job Position: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will proactively implement HSE strategies and practices that align with our brand’s mission to redefine luxury living, ensuring all employees, contractors, and clients operate in a secure and risk-free environment. This role supports organisational excellence by promoting a strong safety culture and adhering to regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to identify hazards and enforce preventive measures.
  3. Ensure compliance with national health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards.
  4. Train employees and contractors on HSE procedures, including emergency protocols and safe work practices.
  5. Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and vendors on all safety-related matters.
  7. Maintain documentation of safety inspections, training records, incident reports, and regulatory submissions.
  8. Support the General Manager and project teams with HSE planning and reporting for ongoing developments.
  9. Promote a culture of safety, responsibility, and environmental stewardship across all departments.
  10. Advise management on improvements in safety systems and risk controls.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  2. 3 – 6 years of experience in a similar HSE role.
  3. Strong knowledge of Nigerian HSE laws and regulations.
  4. Experience with site audits, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness.
  5. HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or HSE Level 3 certification.
  6. Experience working in the real estate, construction, or property development sectors.

Salary
N260,000 – N350,000 / Month.
