Job Position: HR / Admin Assistant

Job Location: Opebi, Lagos

Job Description

  1. Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems Develop training and development programs
  2. Assist in performance management processes
  3. Provide counselling on policies and procedures
  4. Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  5. Create and implement effective on boarding plans
  6. Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  7. Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
  8. Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  9. Organizing and managing schedules and calendars for staff
  10. Receiving and processing communication channels, including email, phone, and physical mail
  11. Assisting human resources department with payroll and personnel databases
  12. Conferring with accounting department to help make payments, process incoming invoices, and verify receipts
  13. Ensure functionality of necessary office equipment, and requisitioning new equipment and supplies as needed
  14. Creating reports and memos for managers and senior-level officers as needed
  15. Offer assistance in organizing events, including ordering materials and requisitioning meeting spaces
  16. Attend meetings, record notes and messages for managers and senior-level officers.

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc / BA / HND in Business Administration, Social Studies, or relevant field; further training will be a plus HR Credentials (e.g. PHR from the HR Certification Institute)
  2. Proven experience as HR officer, administrator, or other HR position Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.)
  3. Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  4. Proficient in MS Office
  5. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  7. Strong ethics and reliability
  8. Process accounts payable and receivable, depending on role
  9. Utilize database software to organize financial account information
  10. Handle account inquiries from internal and external sources
  11. Perform internal audits on financial activities as necessary Review both incoming and outgoing invoices
  12. Generate financial reports for review by regulatory authorities
  13. You must be an active learner who is willing to learn and follow instructions given to you.
