Job Position: HR Lead

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

  1. Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented HR Lead to join their growing team.
  2. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the overall direction and execution of our human resources strategy, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all employees.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and oversee all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and training and development.
  2. Partner with leadership to create a strategic HR plan aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
  3. Lead the HR team, providing coaching, mentorship, and ensuring their professional development.
  4. Develop and maintain effective recruitment strategies to attract, identify, and hire top talent.
  5. Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive first impression.
  6. Implement and manage performance management programs, providing guidance to supervisors on setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and promoting employee growth.
  7. Address employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and terminations, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
  8. Manage and administer employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  9. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  10. Stay up-to-date on HR laws, regulations, and best practices, keeping the organization compliant and competitive.
  11. Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  12. Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including leadership teams and other departments.
  13. Represent the HR department in company-wide initiatives and committees.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  2. Minimum 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within the HR function
  3. Proven track record of success in developing and implementing HR strategies
  4. Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  6. Ability to lead and motivate a team
  7. Experience with HR information systems (HRIS)
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience in a similar industry
  2. Experience with talent management programs
  3. Experience with employee engagement initiatives
  4. Genealist experience
